Will you ride with me?
First time at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. We went for my boyfriend's birthday on Halloween. Probably one of the best "rogue" Halloween attractions in LA. If you haven't yet, you should check it out next year. They turn an abandoned, old zoo area into the route of the hayride with all sorts of circus freaks, creepy clowns, and the worst gigantic scary dudes with chainsaws. The production of the hayride surprised me completely. It was definitely worth my $35 bucks. They also have a show that is not only a bit creepy, but cheesy funny. Who doesn't like cheesy funny things on Halloween? How could I forget they serve pumpkin pancakes, that I did not try, but they have also have buttery popcorn and fried apple slices (the best). And lastly and most importantly the incredibly scary maze. Its not the same kind you go through at the theme parks Halloween events, but a true maze, where you've gone through the same corner twice, and the walls all look the same, and you can't figure your way out and you desperately want to so bad. (Save the maze for last)

Bella
She's the cutest, sweetest thing in the world. My boss brought her in to work today. Got to dogie-sit. We need to have a "bring your pup to work" day.

Missoni meeee.
My boyfriend is the bestest in the world. After taking the Target tour of Los Angeles county, and going home empty handed, he tracked down my flats online! He truly does Missoni meeeee.

Finally, my pick!
After all the superhero movies this summer (I enjoyed them all, don't get me wrong) I was able to pick one, and of course I would pick:
CRAZY STUPID LOVE.
CRAZY STUPID LOVE.
It was smartly written, witty, funny, and still made you go all ga-ga for Ryan's abs.
Can a girl ask for more?

Reminiscing last summers in NM
For the last few years I've spent my summers in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Lodge Hotel would be my home for about a month...Film production always brought the best in me. It felt just like summer camp, but something that great doesn't last forever.

Its a Girl!
I attended the cutest baby shower for my cousin Shirley and her second baby. It was the cutest lil' tea party ever. Girls from ages 2 to 80 were there, lil' tutus, doggies, dippers, and even grandmas celebrated the coming of another girl!
All props go to my cousin Betty and Jenny for creating such a sweet and chic event.

Movie Monday

Watched this last night, and it was really amazing.
The writing, the costumes, and hello...Clive Owen.
Little sister
She's beautiful and smart. She knows exactly what she wants, and how she wants it. She's nothing like me. And today, she passed her driving test. Yay! I'm so happy for her, and all of us who have been her chauffeur for the last... I can't even remember... It's funny but I'm sad, she's no longer my little sister. She will no longer need me to "pick me up" or "take me there" or "I need this". Her license symbolizes her freedom. Now I know exactly why my parents didn't want me to get my license and drive away forever. They were afraid I was no longer going to need them. They were very wrong, and I hope I am too.

Wimsical Wednesday

I wish I didn't have other responsibilities and could get lost in the books that I read. This would take me back to the early 70's in the rock 'n roll scene, hanging with no other than Patti Smith, the godmother of punk, as many like to call her. If you are an artist: writer, poet, singer - read this... you will get lost, live an adventure and fall in love.

Hidden LA Treasures
Griffith Park Carousel
Its been around since the 1920's
It was the best detour on a busy Sunday afternoon.
Movie Monday
I miss the energy, the fun,
the running-around like a chicken with their head cut off,
I miss being on set.
